Ghanaian duo Dauda, Mohammed win Nigeria Premiership title with Enyimba FC

Ghanaian pair Farouk Mohammed and Fatau Dauda have emerged Nigeria Premier League champions with Enyimba FC.The Aba State Warriors outfit were crowned Nigeria Premier League champions following a 3-0 victory over Akwa United in their final Championship playoffs match on Wednesday evening.The People's Elephant needed goals from Reuben Bala, Stanley Dimgba and Abdulrahman Bashir to lift their eighth league title.Mohammed enjoyed the entire duration of the match whiles the experienced Black Stars custodian was left out of the team’s matchday squad.Fatau has been a cult hero since joining the side in 2016 from Ghanaian outfit AshantiGold SC.Mohammed meanwhile, joined the side from Elmina Sharks at the start of the 2017 campaign.

Dreams FC confirm loan departures of duo Kamaheni and Alabi to Israeli side FC Ashdod

Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC confirmed the departure of duo Montari Kamaheni and Samuel Alab to Israeli side FC Ashdod on a 12-month deal on Wednesday.The duo have been an integral part of the side in the ongoing Ghana FA Special Competition.A statement on the club's website read: “Dreams FC duo Montari Kamaheni and Samuel Alabi have joined Israeli side FC Ashdod on a season long loan move with an option to sign a permanent deal,”This follows the conclusion of talks between both parties with the players set to soon arrive in Israel to sign contracts leading to the seal of the transfer.”Both have been integral members of the club and played a key part in the ongoing NC Special Competition.They graduated from the side's feeder club Still Believe FC two seasons ago and have since gone on to become key members of the senior team.They join former Dreams FC captain Leonard Owusu at the Israeli club.

OFFICIAL: German side SV Darmstadt complete signing of Ghanaian winger Braydon Marvin Manu on three-year deal

German second-tier side German Bundesliga II side SV Darmstadt 98 have completed the signing of Ghanaian winger Braydon Marvin Manu on a three-year deal, the club announced on Wednesday. The 22-year-old joined on a free transfer after terminating contract with third-tier side  Hallescher FC.The wideman is expected to continue his development with the Blue and White.”The SV 98 has reinforced in the offensive area and signed Braydon Manu under contract” a statement on the club's website read”The 22-year-old winger moves from Halleschen FC to southern Hesse and signed a contract with the lilies until June 2022. The transfer modalities were agreed to remain silent.”Manu said: ” I see good prospects for my development here with the lilies and I am convinced that Darmstadt is the right club for me.”The winger, who is eligible to represent both Ghana and Germany at the international level, scored three goals and provided five assists in 31 appearances for  Hallescher FC last season.

Kotoko face an anxious wait over the fitness of star striker Songne Yacouba ahead of the Tier 1 semi-final clash against rivals Hearts of Oak.The 27-year-old is yet to start group training since he picked up an injury in the Otumfuo Cup win over Ivorian giants Asec Mimosa.The Burkinabe has been restricted to personal training at the team's camp in Asante Mampong.Yacouba missed the side's matches in the Tier 11 competition against Real Tamale United, Nkoranza Warriors and Berekum Arsenal.It's unclear if he will be passed fit for the crunch semi-final tie against Hearts of Oak at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday.

Ghana winger Thomas Agyepong has expressed delight in making coach Kwesi Appiah's final 23 man squad for the Nations Cup in Egypt. The Manchester City attacker remains impatient ahead of the competition, insisting the experience from the tournament will help his development as a young player.“As a player you look forward to step up in the next level of your career,” he spoke to TV3.“I really want to be there, I really want to have the experience because this is my first time in a major tournament and as a young player to be part of it even if not to play a major part of it but to be part of it I think will be a great experience for me.“As a young player graduating through the youth ranks and then coming to the senior team.”Agyepong, who spent last season on loan at Scottish side Hibernian had an injury affected campaign but managed 9 appearances, scoring a goal.

Notorious Kotoko fan Seidu Mba arrested over kidnapping of Canadian girls

Asante Kotoko supporter Seidu Mba is in the custody of Police over the kidnappings of two Canadian girls in the Ashanti Region, according to reports. The staunch Kotoko fan is believed to be the mastermind behind the kidnappings of the girls who went missing for sometime now.A Police statement in the early hours of Wednesday morning revealed the girls have been rescued with further investigations ongoing.However around mid-day, reports coming from Kumasi indicated the “notorious” Seidu was arrested in connection with the kidnapping.Further reports also revealed four Nigerians have been arrested as part of the ring involved in the crime.Seidu is known for several misconduct at match centers as well as leading call for the sacking of former coach of Asante Kotoko Dravsko Lugarisic.The very built Mba single handedly sacked Lugarisic who was at training with the players on a very bright afternoon at the Adako Jachie.

2019 Africa Cup of Nations: Vincent Aboubakar dropped as Cameroon name final squad
