Kap\u0161 navaja raziskavo zdravnika Greenwalda, ki je ugotovil, da indoli v zelju, pa tudi drugih kri\u017enicah, kot so ohrovt, cveta\u010da, brokoli, repa, redkev, gor\u010dica in hren, prepre\u010dujejo enega najpogostej\u0161ih rakov pri mo\u0161kih &#8211; namre\u010d raka na debelem \u010drevesu. Greenwaldova raziskava je pokazala, da imajo tisti, ki jedo zelje vsaj enkrat na teden, za kar 66 odstotkov manj mo\u017enosti, da zbolijo za rakom, v primerjavi s tistimi, ki ga jedo le enkrat na mesec ali nikoli. Ljudje, ki redno jedo zelje, imajo tudi manj predrakastih tvorb na debelem \u010drevesu ter manj\u0161o mo\u017enost, da se jim razvije \u010dir na \u017eelodcu. Za prepre\u010devanje \u010dira na \u017eelodcu je sicer najbolj koristen zeljni sok.<\/p>\n<p>Zelje je ravno tako izjemno koristno za \u017eenske, saj zmanj\u0161uje koncentracijo estrogena v telesu. Ravno estrogen naj bi bil namre\u010d eden glavnih krivcev za razvoj raka na dojkah.<\/p>\n<h2>Zelja nikar ne prekuhavajte<\/h2>\n<p>Raziskave so pokazale tudi, da s kuhanjem zelja v vodi uni\u010dimo kar polovico indolov! Pomembno je torej, da zelja ne pregrevamo ali kuhamo predolgo. Najbolje bi bilo, da ga u\u017eivamo kar surovega. Za tiste, ki recepta ne poznate &#8211; naravnost odli\u010dno je tudi kislo zelje v solati. Kislemu zelju dodamo le bu\u010dno olje in \u010desen, po \u017eelji \u0161e fi\u017eol, kumino in poper, ter dobro preme\u0161amo.<\/p>\n<h2>Zdravilne snovi v zelju<\/h2>\n<p>Zelje sicer vsebuje \u0161tevilne zdravilne snovi, ne le zgoraj omenjene indole. Med drugim zdrave ogljikove hidrate, rastlinske beljakovine in ma\u0161\u010dobe, smole, rudninske snovi, kot so magnezij, kalij in \u017eveplo, pa tudi vitamina A in C.<\/p>\n<p>In ne pozabite. Ena najpogostej\u0161ih napa\u010dnih predstav o raku je ta, da je rak \u010dloveku usojen.
