Sadje je odli\u010den vir rudnin, vitaminov, antioksidantov in pektina, ki ve\u017ee holesterol in prepre\u010duje porast serumskega holesterola. Prav zaradi svojih pozitivnih lastnosti in ker s pomo\u010djo fruktoze zadovolji \u017eeljo po sladkem, ima sadje poseben pomen v zdravi prehrani sladkornega bolnika. Pri zdravem prehranjevanju je dobro zau\u017eiti po dve porciji sadja na dan, s tem da ena porcija tehta pribli\u017eno 250 gramov. Sicer pa je za diabetike bolj primerno sadje, ki vsebuje veliko vlaknin, saj te vrste sadja vsebujejo ni\u017eji glikemi\u010dni indeks. V to skupino spadajo recimo jabolka, hru\u0161ke, marelice, borovnice, kivi, jagode, granatno jabolko in avokado.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Omejite u\u017eivanje sadja z visokim GI<\/h2>\n<p>Sadje, ki vsebuje visok glikemi\u010dni indeks, je v primeru diabetesa priporo\u010deno jesti v manj\u0161ih koli\u010dinah, saj povzro\u010di dvig sladkorja v krvi. Med sadje z visokim dele\u017eem sladkorja spadajo banane, dateljni, grozdje, ananas, pomaran\u010de, melone, kaki itd. Pri tem sadju je dovolj, \u010de se na dan zau\u017eije ena manj\u0161a enota tega sadja.
