Raziskava je namre\u010d pokazala, da posamezniki, ki so vsak dan v tednu uspeli spati le po nekaj ur, a nato pomanjkanje spanca nadomestili ob koncu tedna, niso imeli vi\u0161je stopnje smrtnosti od tistih, ki so vsako no\u010d spali po \u0161est ali sedem ur.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Trajanje spanja je pomembno za dolgo \u017eivljenje,&#8221; je po poro\u010danju britanskega \u010dasnika Guardian povedal avtor raziskave Torbjorn Akerstedt iz In\u0161tituta za raziskovanje stresa na Univerzi v Stockholmu. V raziskavi je sodelovalo ve\u010d kot 38.000 odraslih iz vse \u0160vedske, ki so jih spremljali 13 let.<\/p>\n<p>Akerstedt je povedal, da so znanstveniki pred tem \u017ee preu\u010devali povezavo med trajanjem spanca ter umrljivostjo, vendar pa so se osredoto\u010dili le na spanec med delovnim tednom. &#8220;Domneval sem, da bi lahko pri\u0161lo do nekaterih sprememb, \u010de bi upo\u0161tevali \u0161e spanec ob koncu tedna,&#8221; je dejal.<\/p>\n<p>Ko so upo\u0161tevali dejavnike, kot so spol, indeks telesne mase, kajenje, telesna dejavnost in izmensko delo, so rezultati pokazali, da so osebe, mlaj\u0161e od 65 let, ki so sedem dni v tednu spale po pet ur ali manj, imele za 65 odstotkov vi\u0161jo stopnjo smrtnosti od tistih, ki so vsako no\u010d spale po \u0161est ali sedem ur. Vendar pa vi\u0161je stopnje smrtnosti niso ugotovili pri tistih, ki so med tednom res spali po pet ur ali manj, nato pa uspeli ob koncih tedna spati po osem ur ali ve\u010d.<\/p>\n<p>A tudi predolgo spanje ni priporo\u010dljivo. Ljudje, ki so vsako no\u010d spali po osem ur ali ve\u010d, so namre\u010d imeli za 25 odstotkov ve\u010djo stopnjo smrtnosti od tistih, ki so vsako no\u010d spali po \u0161est ali sedem ur. Akerstedtu se zdi povsem mogo\u010de, da ima pomanjkanje spanca negativen vpliv na telo, medtem ko je stalno dolgotrajno spanje lahko znak zdravstvenih te\u017eav.<\/p>\n<p>Raziskava je tudi ugotovila, da je povezava med vzorci spanja in stopnjo umrljivosti izginila pri starej\u0161ih od 65 let. Akerstedt domneva, da je tako morda zato, ker starej\u0161i dobijo toliko spanca, kot ga potrebujejo.
